Contract Signing Meeting
The first step is an in-depth consultation with Field Tree Construction to outline the entire home-building process. During this meeting, Stacy will:
• Explain the step-by-step construction timeline.
• Discuss expectations for both the builder and the client.
• Define roles and responsibilities to ensure smooth collaboration.
• Address any initial questions or concerns.
This meeting sets the foundation for a clear and efficient building process.
Once the initial discussion is complete, the focus shifts to creating/editing your home’s design. This step includes:
• If you want to create a blueprint of your own, we reach out to the Architects at Oostburg Lumber to get the design process started.
• If using a Field Tree blueprint, we begin reviewing and making necessary edits to the blueprints with the Architects at Oostburg Lumber.
• Ensure all design preferences and structural needs are incorporated.
• Confirm the final plans are exactly how you want them before moving to the pricing stage.
Any last-minute changes should be addressed here to avoid delays in the later stages.
With the finalized plans in place, Field Tree Construction can now get bids from contractors to compile a detailed cost breakdown for your project. This includes:
• Field Tree Construction reaching out to their qualified subcontractors and suppliers to gather competitive bids for each phase of the project.
• All bids are reviewed, analyzed, and organized into a comprehensive budget that outlines material, labor, and additional costs associated with the project.
• Based on bid evaluations, Field Tree Construction selects the best contractors for each job, ensuring each phase is competitively priced while maintaining high-quality standards.
With the finalized plans and all bids in place, Field Tree Construction has now compiled a detailed cost breakdown for your project. This meeting with include:
• Reviewing the comprehensive pricing based on approved plans and bids collected.
• Identifying potential cost adjustments or modifications.
• Making any final changes before proceeding to the contract phase.
This step ensures full transparency of costs before any financial commitments are made.
Once pricing is agreed upon, the next step is formalizing the agreement through contract signing. During this meeting:
• The required down payment is submitted to officially begin the project.
• The final construction contract is signed by both parties.
With the contract and deposit in place, Field Tree Construction can begin applying for permits and begin scheduling contractors for the construction phase.
